Biography: Calle 13 is a band of urban music of Puerto Rico, 1 headed by Rene Perez Joglar, dubbed Resident, and his brother Eduardo Cabra who calls Guest. Rene is a singer and composer Eduardo sings the chorus and is a composer, multi-instrumentalist (piano, melodica, electric guitars, etc.). His sister Ileana Cabra, called PG-13, participates in some songs like female voice. The band has won ten Grammy Awards and two Latin Grammy Awards, being thus the highest urban music Grammy winners. In short trajectory, the duo has become popular in Latin America. The band was heavily influenced by artists such as Vico C, Tego Calderon and Julio Voltio. His nickname comes from the identification they had to give the security guard to enter his house, located on Calle 13, in a neighborhood of Trujillo Alto, a town in the San Juan metropolitan area. The band is known for its eclectic musical style, often using unconventional instruments in their music and their ability to address different issues. The band is also known for his satirical lyrics and social commentary on Latin American issues and culture.
